    front page help!
    « on: September 22, 2009, 01:19:31 AM »
I am trying to create a contact us page but I cannot figure out how to link it correctly. I have tried testing it out myself and when I click submit a page not found pops up with the message below. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong here??? Thanks!

The page you tried to access does not exist on this server. This page may not exist due to the following reasons:

You are the owner of this web site and you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, click here for FTP Upload Information.

The URL that you have entered in your browser is incorrect. Please re-enter the URL and try again.

The Link that you clicked on incorrectly points to this page. Please contact the owner of this web site to inform them of this situation.

What is supposed to be submitted when Submit it clicked?  Is this a form you designed?

It's a contact us page so their name and message is supposed to be submitted. I found the form in front page under the different form options.

Was the rest of the site created with FrontPage?  Did you create it?  Do you know how to upload pages to the server?

Yes, I created the entire site with frontpage. I uploaded the pages and everything is working great except for the contact us page and the guest book page.

        Thanks, Ashley

Are you sure that page / document uploaded to the server?
Please check the code, too, so that you know your script is searching the correct "location" for the page.

These are kind of obvious, and you've probably already done them.

Yes, the page did upload correctly to the server (at least I think so - it looks right when I go to the site, www.ashleyandrob.info).

How do I check the code? Sorry, I know next to nothing about creating websites.

Do you know for sure that your web server supports "FrontPage extensions"?   And, if so, do they have FrontPage extensions enabled for your site?
