Screen Blackouts
« on: June 16, 2005, 01:59:33 PM »
Every now and then my screen randomly blacks out, sometimes disabling the mouse (the red light turns off).

Please can somebody help me. I have had this problem for a while and it is really beginning to annoy me. I have tried changing the video card, to no avail.

Thanks in advance.

    What happens after the blackout?
Is there any warnings in your Event Viewer?

How are your power saving settings configured?

Hi friend how are you? I think there must be some problem with your windows settings. Have you modify any settings these days. If yes then do reset them as default.

I am having the same problem on my 4 year old Sony e-200. I start the comp, and after about 30-45 mins. , the screen slowly goes black! sometimes it comes back after a few mins. and sometime I have to turn off the monitor for a few seconds and everthing is fine. Then it repeats after maybe 20 mins. or 5 hours later?
Screen is beautiful as always, when it is lite-up!
Any help?? CRT 17 in. Sony E-200 4-5 years old!
      Thanks , Michael
