    Memory supporting problem
    « on: October 28, 2009, 02:59:04 AM »
    Hi everyone
I just boughout a new system

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P
    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache)
    RAM: 4 * 2GB = 8GB

The problem is Windows XP doesn't support memory upper than 4GB.
I understood that in some windows 64 bit mode it works, but I want to work on Windows XP.

Is there anyway to make Windows XP support 8GB memory ?

    The quick answer is no.

If you want to run more then 4 gigs of ram you need to go 64 bit.
