IE8 history list length?

This seems like a dumb question, but I can't figure it out. The drop down browsing history in IE8 only displays the last 12 sites I have visited. How can I increase the length of this list to maybe include the last 20 or more sites I have visited?

Thanks, but I have been there, done that. I don't see any place there to increase the length of the drop down sites visited list. What am I missing?

Hi Patio-
Thank for trying to help me. I have messed with all the settings, and none of them have changed the length of the drop down list of visited sites in IE8. I am very frustrated because I use the history drop down list a lot for more than 12 sites, and when I add a new one, it drops the bottom one off the list. There has got to be a way to make this list longer!

tools > internet options > content > at autocomplete click settings > in the address bar section, put a check mark on address bar ONLY and NOTHING ELSE.

Exactly what I needed! My browsing history list now shows the last 25 sites I have visited, instead of the 12 I had before.
I didn't know that I could check just the address bar without checking at least one of the other 4 items just below it.
I am happy.

I have these checked, and i get every site i visit in the history tab, which at the moment  there are about 50 sites listed, and thats just from this browsing session

I am running IE8 on a 64 bit vista machine. I don't know if that should make a difference, but mine doesn't behave like that. I am happy with the 25 item length list that I have now.

Come to think of it , i would not know what Auto complete has to do  with how many web-sites are in your
Favorites > History
