What OS are you running?
What service pack is installed?
What are you trying to install?
What have you tried, and what has failed?

    if you use a old OS like 98-me you can't do that 
    if you have win2k and newer version you can download microsoft windows installer for you OS

    windows 95,98, and ME can have windows installer installed and run MSI installers.
    I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.
