My mouse suddenly froze. Any ideas on how to get it to function. Is there any way to move the cursor without the mouse, temporarily?

Thanks for the reply. The mouse started working again. Thanks.
What do you know about Syncing an ipod that will not download after it has been "Restored"? Only gets about 40% complete and then errors.

Again, more information. What do you mean it will not download and how (and why) did you restore it?

I downloaded a couple cd's and one would not play on the ipod even though it showed that it was available on the ipod. I went to re sync the ipod and got a response that the ipod needed to be restored to original status. I knew it would erase what I had on the ipod. So I restored it and have been trying to reload. I get about 45 mins. into it and it stops. I get an error stating" Windows delayed write failed". "Windows was unable to save all the data for File F;. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere". I do not know what to do here. All the music library seems to be still in the library.I just can not get it to completely load.

        Why aren't you using iTunes?

I have not had any success with either of these fixes. The first one Tequilafish I get to Systems and can not get to Device Mgr.( not there ). The other option Discussions I can not get to Format.

Go to START - RUN and type: devmgmt.msc (then press ENTER)

And what does that mean - you can't get it to format? Look - you have to start providing details or at some point it's going to get real old.

What I mean is when I do the required steps I become stuck because I get to a step say Systems and I need to proceed to Device Mgr. But Device Mgr is not there. Nor anything like that. And the same with the other method. After I click on My Comp. then menu then no Format is there.

What happens when you go to START - RUN and type: devmgmt.msc (then press ENTER)?

Thank you. I went through this process to enable disc caching and it was already enabled. The ipod still will not completely sync. I will need to try the other process and I go to My Computer( with I pod plugged in); right click; wait for right click Menu which comes right up with Open;Explore; Search; Manage; Map Network drive; Disconnect network drive; Show on Desktop; Rename and Properties....no Format!  ??
