« on: June 22, 2005, 07:19:03 PM »
k so i bought a little $200  1 ghz, 256mb ram, 40 gb hd computer a while ago and i'm having some problems i could probably fix BUT the problem is that my BIOS is in FRENCH... the only thing i haven't tried is to remove the battery from the motherboard and for some reason i doubt that will work... soooo if you have any suggestions for me they would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

k the bios setup screen is in french and it doesn't have a language menu or anything.  i didn't get the ">next you say the winxp is in french", i don't know what you meant by that.

I have never seen a BIOS where you could change the language. It may be of French design.

Or a French Canadian design.  :)

Has this particular BIOS setup ever displayed in English?

If not, you may still be able to translate the French into English with a little online help:
