If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

Are you certain that it is not I do not work so well for AVG?

AVG seems to me like a very good anti-virus scanner. I install it on every machine I work with.

Why can it not perform as you would like it to? What do you expect of it?

What are you trying to do that AVG or the other program can not? Also, try looking on Download.com  ... There's TONS there. Most all virus scanners work the same, so long as they are updated... Find one that you like...

          Gabriel:

If your system is already infected with a computer virus, it may prevent an anti-virus program from properly installing.  Your best option, then, may be to download and run a virus removal tool made specifically for that virus.

Is your system infected now?  If so, what is the name of the virus, Trojan Horse, or Worm?  If you give us the name we may give you the link to a site where the removal tool may be downloaded.

Hi we have been using AVG Free and Professional for 2 years and they work very well, You must have your computer set up wrong. Go to the control center in AVG and make sure all boxes are blue in color if then active the ones that are Red!!!!
