Trying to remove the hard drive
« on: December 27, 2009, 04:58:51 PM »
I'm fairly familiar with software, but hardware I'm a novice. I have no idea what the hard drive is, but my old computer wont turn on and I need to get some information off of it. I did read somewhere that you can remove the hard drive and hook it up to get the information out of it, but I couldn't find out how to, any help on removing the hard drive from this old computer and getting the information off of it would be great. Thanks.

Emachines, windows xp OS

You can do the Google search and find some videos online that will help you learn how to open up the case and remove the hard drive in most  standard computer boxes.
Here's a search I just did  on Google.  Take a look at the first two and see if any help.  Or, look at them all, if you have the time.
