Thee are other error codes that might be given for this problem.

The Acer 4415 laptop  is one of many current PCs that can have this problem. It can not be fixed by the usual methods. Do NOT pay for software to fix this problem. Read the MS KB link above

You can Goolge 'error code 39' and get ...
far too many of little value.

I put this here because my first impression was that it had  to be hardware.
And sometimes it is!
