    What are my PCI slots?
    « on: January 12, 2010, 12:47:34 PM »
Even though I posted about a video card prior, I went to CNET and got this info regarding the PCI slots (free) on my PC:

    2.0 ( 2.0 ) x PCI Express x1 - LGA775 Socket , 4.0 ( 1.0 ) x Memory - DIMM 240-pin , 1.0 ( 1.0 ) x PCI , 1.0 ( 1.0 ) x Processor , 1.0 ( 0.0 ) x PCI Express x16

I'm pretty sure the last one this means I have a PCI-Express x16 slot but does the first one mean that I have 2 PCI-Express 2.0 slots OR 2 PCI-Express slots?

      1) PCI-E X 16 slot...

      2) standard PCI slots...

      1) PCI-E X1 slot...

        Newbie question...

Is there a way to replace or upgrade the PCI-Express slots or would I have to get a new motherboard entirely?
