    From Toshiba's website.

Don't understand why they would send you elsewhere as most laptop manuf. (the major ones ) write their own drivers.

That being said what Toshiba is this ?
What issues are you having with the CAM ?
Have you tried the Vista drivers yet ?

toshiba satellite A300-1RY with windows 7x64 o/s.  When I couldn't find driver and software on toshiba website I foned their support (uk) and was referred to chicony website. Toshiba also told me not to use vista drivers and software, I am now stuck with a laptop with a webcam I can't use as there are no drivers or software available. The built in webcam was one of the reasons I bought the laptop

Click Here  for 4 updated Drivers for that device written for Vista x64.....

DLoad all 4 and give them unique names so you can keep track.
Install them 1 at a time...i'll bet a cold Lager at least 1 of them works....

Note #1 The hangup here is not Win7...it's the fact that you have migrated to a 64bit OS...the machine originally shipped with Vista 32bit...

Note #2 Installing the wrong driver while testing my theory will not harm any hardware nor your OS install so not to worry...the Tech that said to not use Vista drivers can assist in buying the Lager...
