I have a Dell optiplex GX280 desktop. It wont turn on at all. I unpluged everything then pluged back in and nothing. I opened up the tower and have a yellow light on inside when pluged in. the power button flashed amber on the front.

Dells site should have more info on the LED error codes...

What exactly happened prior to this ? ?

It has been running fine, I always leave it on unless Iam out of town. I just decided to shut it down the other night and in the morning went to turn on and there was nothing.

If the power light is amber and green or steady amber  —  A device might be malfunctioning or incorrectly installed.

Remove and then reinstall the memory modules.
Remove and then reinstall any cards.
Remove and then reinstall the graphics card, if applicable.
