Computer Boot Up Error

hi.
im having troubles with my computer booting up.
when i boot up my computer, it starts to boot but then it brings me this error:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent permenent damage to your computer.

then some stuff about how sorfware or hardware has been installed improperly.
then it gives a code or something:

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
***STOP: 0X000000ED (0X823D2D98, 0XC0000006. 0X00000000, 0X00000000)


im confused on what to do   ???  please help!!!

Welcome to the CH forums.

Whenever you get an error message which you don't understand please Google the error message, there's lots of help and advice out there.  Here is a Microsoft kb dealing with Stop Error ED.

Please read this and post the relevant information if you need further assist.
