Anyone know anything about the iKernal.exe errors.....
After all my reinstallation of windows xp etc, this is the last problem I have....
It pops up at the end of installing certain programs....
Nero, WinDVD, IFrame 2 or 3 Update, and other programs....
Because this happens the program that I am trying to install ends up aborting at the end....
Really bugging me this....

XP Home with SP2
It is doing it with 50% of the programs I have installed... (I have looked into Installsheild being corrupt etc) I replaced the Ikernal folder with my old one still the same....
Windows updates / I Frame 2 / Nero / and about 4 of my Mobile phone unlocking solutions....
All end abnormally even AVG 7.5 so the installer cancels at the end....
No Torrents....

OK. The main problem with OP is, that all info is spread through this, and two other threads:
http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,51767.msg325593.html#msg325593
http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,51817.msg325594.html#msg325594
Most likely, those problems are connected
I'm not gonna jump back, and forth...

Starnge tho.... Clean install of XP Home on one of my 4 drives (f:) which has no Windows folder and no OS ever installed here before.... No conflicts should exist once the OS has booted from from that drive....
Even stranger.... On the hundreds of machines I have built or sold over the last 10 years I have never had an iKernal error before....
Weird...

The log is not readable, because of breaks, double spacing, etc.

I'd buy a burner and Acronis True Image then create a backup image file of each drive/partition and burn them to CD/DVD and rebuild that entire system...
-
That would solve a loooooooooot of headaches.
