Title: cursor skipping around
Post by: Roxanne99 on February 27, 2012, 08:02:18 AM
I have a Toshiba and am using open office 3.2.  It worked fine when I installed it so I don't know if I have a virus or what.  When I type a letter the cursor will jump up a few lines and then I have to delete that and get back to the end of my letter.  This is driving me crazy.  Is it a virus?

This you notice this right after installing open Office, or sometime later?

Do you understand why patio mentioned the touchpad?  If you inadvertently touch the touchpad, even just lightly touching it as you move your hands around the keyboard, that can cause such behavior as you've described.

Use this link below to install the TouchFreeze utility which will automatically disable your touchpad when you are typing. Hopefully this will solve your problem
