Title: MS XP home edition SP2 will not boot.
Post by: ted.wolfe on February 23, 2008, 11:32:29 AM
Hey Guys,
I am currently trying to fix a friends computer that runs on Win XP home edition SP 2. Here's some backround on the situation. We loaded a new memory stick onto the PC due to the fact that it was very low on usuable RAM. After this the computer rebooted fine and recognized the hardware. The next time we went to boot the PC we came across an error script saying some files or programs could not be found. I figured that best plan of action would be to boot from the xp startup disk only to find out my friend did not know where the original is. So as of right now I am in need of a direction to take next. If anyone has some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

                                                                                          Regards,
                                                                                                       Ted

What brand of computer is it?
What happens, if you remove new RAM stick?
