get videos from everywhere - cnn, msnbc, comedy central, etc. Everywhere but YouTube. Every time someone sends me a YouTube link, I get a black screen with the message This video is no longer available. I can't contact YouTube anywhere on their home page. What to do?
-
When did this start?
Any error messages or popups?
What internet browser?
What Operating System?
-
I think about a month ago. I use Windows XP and Mozilla 3.0.

Any error messages?
Does the same thing happen in Internet Explorer?

Funny you should ask! As soon as you asked me about the OS, I realized that I only use Firefox, although I used to use IE, which is still on my hard disc. So I put it on and sure enough I got all of YouTube's videos. Now I guess I should contact Mozilla and tell them the problem, unless you have a quicker and easier suggestion...I really like Mozilla, so I hope I can fix it...

I think either an addons has disabled Youtube somehow, you're missing a plugin or Javascript is turned off.
First, try this.
Go to Start --> All Programs --> Mozilla Firefox --> Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)
Untick all the check boxes and press Continue, then try to access Youtube.

Well, nothing showed up under Mozilla Safe Mode, but when I clicked on Tools, IK found ADblock preferences and I unchecked the two checked boxes. Voila! I now get everything. Thanks for suggesting a way.

Good work. ;)
