Title: iH252 monitor won't stay on
Post by: soldierhog on October 30, 2010, 10:27:06 AM
I searched for this, but couldn't find an answer, so if it's already been covered or if I am doing this wrong at all, I'll seppuku later.

I have an I-Inc iH252 monitor, and it won't stay on.  When it is connected to the video card/powered on, it comes on for about 3-5 seconds, and then goes black.  The power indicator remains green, but nothing will bring the image back up.  If I turn the power off and back on, the monitor comes back on for 3-5 seconds, then back to black.  Same with disconnecting/connecting from the video card, disconnecting/connecting the power source, and restarting the PC.  Obviously, I've checked and rechecked the connections. Is this more likely a driver issue, or a hardware issue?

I am running Windows 7, and

This is the monitor in question -

And I have this video card -

Can anyone help, or am I just down a monitor?

First thing I would do is try a different monitor.  Borrow one from a friend or neighbor and narrow down the problem.

How old is it?  Is it still under warranty?

Agreed - either try a different display on this system or try this display on a different system.
