Title: HELP. no programs will connect to internet except IE

The whole time ive had my computer it has never been able to connect any programs to the internet except IE. it wont connect to limewire, firefox, pokerstars or WOW. Its very frustrating. ive disabled all my firewalls and it still wont connect. anybody know wat i could try next?
