Title: I cannot change screen resolution on my Dell laptop

I opened my laptop one day to find my screen is much larger than usual.  I am unable to get into some of my files and some of my email attachments.  I have tried many times to make it smaller by changing the resolution but after it restarts it will change from small to extra large.  I don't know what to do. I have a Dell Inspirion laptop with Windows XP.  Any ideas?

 My own suggestion would be along the lines of uninstallling the current video drivers and/or going to the manufacturer's site and update the video drivers from there. Then trying to change your resolution after that. truenorth

Hi,
Does you changed the font size and resolution parameters from the control panel. It may be due to change in settings.
