Good for them, but why bother? Nobody uses 2tb in their home/office computer.... Even 500gb is too much in my eyes! I mean, I have a 500, but I have ever only used 60gb max. (| (| (| (| (| (| (|

Heck...i only use half of my 20GB HD ;D
But this would come in handy for say web servers/database servers.

That is amazing. I can't imagine ever using that much space. My 80GB drive still has plenty of space for me. I could create new MS Office files and accumulate more email every day for the rest of my life and not run out of space.

My benchtest machine has 2 500G Seagates and a WD 250G....
Of course it also runs 7 OS's and all different types of Apps...

That's me with my laptop.
Don't really boot into XP on it though.
regarding the hard drive- data storage and other industries often get larger hard drives before they reach the consumer market- for example the IBM 3380. This was the first 1GB drive ever created and it was not that long ago, it was created in 1980. :P The beast weighed 250 kg and cost US$142,000. Most consumers would require a layaway arrangement for that- or a second mortgage.
