Title: Wrong driver? or bad video card?
Post by: fizikz on December 03, 2005, 05:56:58 PM
Ok, I'm a gamer, and I reformatted a little while ago, and since then I have been having some serious problems - extremely low fps, and.. what ever you wanna call this.. :o
[img=http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/5630/um5cd.th.jpg] (http://img234.imageshack.us/my.php?image=um5cd.jpg)

my video card is a Radeon 9800 Pro and can handle HL2 fine (normally at least) and ATI's site doesnt help at all... i've tried a few from there and they dont change anything. Yeah, so any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Bad drivers or bad download or card needs to be removed and reinserted.

Download & run Everest Home Edition to find out what video card you have.

Then armed with that info go to the video card manufacturer's website & download the latest drivers to suit your OS.

Remove the video card entry from your Device Manager, reboot & install your new drivers.

You should also check the game website for fixes & patches.
