Hey guys! Does anyone know if it is ok to delete the file c:\windows\system32\ftp.exe? When I try to download SP2 this file always interrupts the install. I get the error message that it is open or is in use by another application. Thanks for any advice...

Based on what I see at http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/ftp/, it should not be deleted. Sounds like you may need to look for a different approach to a solution. I'm not sure what that would be, but someone will come by shortly with some thoughts.

Thanks...I'll sit tight for now...

LOL. Yes, you could have 10,000 posts in other computing forums and you're still flagged as a newbie. But, most forums use such classifications and, of course, they have no way of knowing your previous experience or level of computer knowledge.

If you're not using FTP then this would ring alarm bells for me.
