Title: Low volume on Skype
Post by: Guzeppi on March 31, 2017, 10:30:38 AM
My contacts on Skype can only hear me faintly, as my voice on the Skype test call is very low.

I can hear my contacts well, and I have checked my volume control on Realtek, setting it to HIGH.

Is there an easy way to solve this problem please?

I have the latest Skype version, and I use Windows 10 and a laptop computer.

Have tried the Skype Community Help but still cannot find an easy method for a Skype newbie that I am.

Thank you in advance for your kind help.

You nee to check the microphone.
Please read this:
Windows microphone troubleshooting by Computer Hope. (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000282.htm)
Also:
1. It may be just a setting in the control panel. But in some cases the microphone is defective or the plug has been damaged.
2. The microphone plug must be inserted into the microphone plug. In some cases the computer may change  the plug to line input. (A software feature on some laptops.)
Does that help?  :)

Please provide the Laptop's complete make and model information.

Open device manager and find audio driver, open it and provide the driver version.

Please give the complete laptop model from the sticker on the bottom of laptop or sticker in the battery compartment.
