Qoute 1 :it's a calorie count software called "DietPower"

Qoute 2 : yes this is the EXACT error message.

Qoute 3 : the EXACT startup error message is "Runtime error in install: Access voilation at address 0046FCEF in module 'DietPowerSetup.exe'. Read of address 000001B4

again...it was after a System Restore

So you cannot uninstall it?

I suggest reinstalling it and then trying to uninstall again (possible some of its program files are missing)

Download Revo Uninstaller (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Revo_Uninstaller_d5706.html)
If you get the error just exit out of it and continue with the instructions. Revo will search for the programs files and then let you remove them.
.

Restart the computer and it should be gone.

Oh I actually don't know the program. If it says 'remove old registry entries' to do with the program you uninstalled, go ahead. But I would back up the registry if it prompts to.

I looked online and I can't find anything.

My only suggestion (now) would be to post a HijackThis Log.

That makes me worried..... Which Norton Antivirus do you have?

If you go to that website, download HijackThis.
Install it and run a System Scan and get a Log.
Post it here.

It's simply a utility that basically lists what starts up with the computer.
Free and a few megabytes big but is very effective in identifying problems with your computer.

Sorry for not responding sooner, as I wasn't aware of this thread.

Once we start, you won't have access to this post anymore, so I recommend that you print out this post or save it to a Notepad file.  Open HijackThis and scan again.  Check the following entries, but don't do anything to them yet...

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ErrorFixer] C:\Program Files\Error Fixer\ErrorFixer.exe -AutoStart
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [DietPower 4.4 Update Setup] C:\Documents and Settings\LG\Local Settings\Application Data\{792BCB21-C38B-40B3-96E1-4DFA8C61ED58}\DietPowerSetup.exe /updatesetup

O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.exe.imgfarm.com/images/nocache/funwebproducts/ei-3/SmileyCentralFWBIni tialSetup1.0.1.0.cab

Now, close all windows (including this one) besides HijackThis, then click Fix Checked.  Close HijackThis and reboot into Safe Mode (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm) and enable hidden files and folders (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000516.htm).

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following (if present)...

Error Fixer or System Error Fixer

Please note any other programs that you dont recognize in that list in your next response.

Navigate to and delete the following folder(s) if present...

C:\Program Files\Error Fixer

Once you've done all of this, reboot into Normal Mode.  I would strongly suggest following the link above posted by Carbon Dudeoxide.  Follow the steps and post the SUPERAntiSpyware and MBAM logs along with a new HijackThis log.  In the meantime, I will read through the rest of this thread so I can get a better idea of what your situation is.

Thank you for your reply  :)
I did what you told me, I deleted the 5 logs you told me to delete...

I didn't find this one   :-\

Navigate to and delete the following folder(s) if present...

even this one, I didn't find it  :-\ hope it's a good thing!

It's okay that you couldn't find ErrorFixer.  As long as the files are gone, then you should be okay.

Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall MyWebSearch.  Then run the MBAM scan again and let it remove all of those files.  When this program finds anything, it's safe to delete them 99% of the time.  If it ever detects an incorrect file (or false positive), then the process can be undone if necessary.

Anyway, go ahead and follow these instructions and post a new MBAM log along with one more HijackThis log.

And while you're at it...  You're vulnerable without a firewall, so you should look into getting either ZoneAlarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?lid=dbtopnav_za), Kerio Personal Firewall (http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Kerio.cfm), or Comodo (http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com).  They're all good free firewalls.  Just be sure you only have one installed at a time!  Download the firewall of your choice, disconnect from the internet, disable Windows Firewall, and install your new firewall.

Are you still having trouble with the diet program?

ok I could download one of these Firewalls but from a previous experience I downloaded Comodo but when I installed it suddenly I can't enter my router page!!
(I have Linksys ...the page is 192.168.1.1), was the Firewall the actual cause of this situation or it was just a quencedence??

It could have been the firewall; you have to make sure you ALLOW your internet connection so Comodo won't block it.  You have to play around with it a bit to get used to how the program works.

It's fairly simple, but I wouldn't worry about it right now.  You most likely won't ever have to do this.

I'm glad to hear that the error is gone.  I'm not sure what to do about uninstalling the program, though.  Perhaps you would have more luck at the DietPower forums...

One thing you can do is download CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds/downloading-slim) and install it.  Once this has been done, run CCleaner and click on Tools.  Find the DietPower in your list of programs and click on Delete entry.  Note: this step can't be undone.  Once you've done that, click on Cleaner and then click on Run Cleaner.  This will get rid of junk files that you don't need (it doesn't delete anything important).  When that finishes, click on Registry and then click on Scan for issues.  This will scan your registry for entries that are no longer being used.  When the scan has completed, click on Fix selected issues.  It will ask if you want to create a backup.  You don't have to, but I would suggest doing it, so click on Yes and then Save the file somewhere.  Another window will come up.  Click on Fix All Selected Issues and then OK and then Close.  You may now close CCleaner.

It sounds like a lot, but it is actually quite simple.  Just download the program and you should have no problem following my instructions.

will it remove it from Add/Remove program list?????

Yes, once you click on Delete entry, it will be removed from Add/Remove Programs.  The other steps are simply to clear up extra files and registry entries that the program may have left behind on your computer.

Thaaaaaank youuuuu verrry much CBMatt  :D
you were verry helpfull  ;) (you too Carbon Dudeoxide were very helpful :))

the program DietPower is now deleted from my Program Files and Add/Remove program list! is it considered removed from my computer???

You are very welcome, Nuriko!

The majority of DietPower should be gone, but it can very difficult to remove every single little trace of a program for your computer.  Even when you are able to uninstall a program the proper way, many of them still leave certain files behind.  Because I'm not familiar with DietPower, I don't really know what other files it may have installed.  You shouldn't have to worry about it, though.  You most likely won't come across anything, and it shouldn't be taking up space on your computer.

You could search your computer for anything related to DietPower, but in my opinion, it's probably not worth the effort.
