Ever since I have upgraded to Win 10, on my desktop 'thumbs.db' icons have been appearing. I constantly delete them, after some time they re-appear. Is there any way I'd be able to delete them temporarily?
-
Start - run - gpedit.msc (press enter)
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > File Explorer
Double-click “Turn off the caching of thumbnails in hidden thumbs.db files” option and set it to “Enabled”.

Help appreciated,I have been able to (finally) get rid of those thumbs.db icons. But still I am just curious why do they appear? I mean does this has to do with caches?
