Title: IE8
Post by: stevieboy on July 06, 2010, 05:05:22 AM
Ive just tried downloadin IE8 and was told I couldnt go ahead bcos i had the previous IE on my computer when iI was ready to uninstall it I was informed that to do so would make some progs to stop workin properly, so i didnt go ahead with the uninstalling. my question is, is it safe to uninstall the older version, will my computer still be worki ok to install IE8. Is IE8 any better than the previous, and, more importantly, does it run any faster.

Hmmmm, usually when you update from an older Internet Explorer you install it over the previous one, with win xp it was done as an update ..

I have pasted a link to the Microsoft website when you should be able to find the download. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

i assume you are using windows vista. I have vista, it came with the IE 7 on it and I simply installed IE8 with the windows update.

Windows update should give you IE8 if you don't already have it.

But if you're not using windows vista, then ....
