Whenever I try to install software from a cd onto my Toshiba laptop I get a blue screen error. I have gone to computer, tools, properties, and checked the drive for errors and still get the blue screen. This has happened now with 2 different discs. I know the problem isn't with the discs. The operating system on the laptop is Windows 7. The message I get after windows recovers is:

Please understand that I am comfortable with computers but I am a user not an operator. Can you help me or do I need to take this computer back to Best Buy. It is only about 6 months old.
Thank you.

Have you tried seeing if you can access system restore by running your computer in Safe Mode? Though from your description, it seems like you've tried most avenues. Since it's still relatively new, I would recommend utilizing your warranty and taking it back to where you'd purchased it from.

1) Is this a new problem or has it always been this way?
2) Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

In answer to your question, "Is this a new problem?" This is the first time I have tried to install software.
I will attempt to follow your instructions and report the results back to you.
