Title: Internet connection limited and network address not assigned?
Post by: Samantha0101 on December 05, 2007, 11:08:53 AM
Hi,
Problem with Internet - is this the right section?? It's not the browser..anyways
A message comes up saying: 'A network cable is unplugged' - it's not.
Then comes up with a Local Area Connection message about the connection having limited or no connectivity. On LAN status IP and some other address turn to saying something like '0.00.00' and that the network didn't assign a network address to my computer, trying Windows Repair to get re-newed IP address says it can't do it and 'if this doesn't work then it may be a problem with your network'. We have no LAN network, ISP is Virgin Media, 2meg broadband.
It connects back up within a minute but then disconnects again a couple of minutes later.
Edit: i guess this goes in networks...do posts get moved here or can i repost? Or can anyone help at all??
