Title: Taskbar and icons disappear, trojan detected
Post by: msu715 on January 12, 2009, 05:25:46 PM
Hey, was hoping someone could help me out with this problem.  I log into my computer, everything is normal for about 15 seconds, then my taskbar and my icons disappear, then reappear continually until my computer ultimately freezes after a few minutes...I was able to do a scan using AVG and turned up lots of malware and trojans...I was able to get rid of the malware, but the trojans aren't going away.  I was wondering what I could do to fix this problem without dropping a lot of money on it. Thanks

Boot into Safe Mode with Networking and go here...

http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

download / install / update & run

Also try this...

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/SuperAntiSpyware.html

do the same as above.

It won't let me log into the internet in safe mode, any other ways to fix this?

Download programs on working computer, and transfer downloaded installation files to bad computer.
