Title: keyboard problem with mac mini
Post by: Fredhughes on March 21, 2009, 02:59:29 AM
My mini does not respond to the space bar on the keyboard. No problem with the keyboard when used with other computers. How can I rectify?

Is it just the spacebar, and just on this keyboard?  Have you tried other keyboards on the mac mini?

The keyboard works OK when connected to other computers. The problem only exists on this one apple Mac mini and only space bar. All other keyboard buttons register.

Try resetting the keyboard shortcut preferences in System Preferences. The space bar may have ben set up a s a shortcut for a 3rd party program currently installed.

You never stated what kind of keyboard you have?????? if it is one of those keyboards from Apple (the little white one where you have to have a hammer to type) get rid of it. I just changed keyboards, no more little white one from apple and repplaced with a Logitech that works with Mac. Good luck
