Title: front sound jack questions
Post by: shawnlittrel on June 26, 2007, 03:40:26 PM
I'm having some issues connecting the front headphone and microphone jacks on my Asus Vento 3600 to my Intel D875PBZ motherboard.  I checked out the manuals for both, and there doesn't seem to be any information on it.  If it matters, which I don't think it does, I'm using a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card.  Any help on the connector location would be grand!

I've actually looked at the manual for your mobo and I don't see a header connector for your front mic and headphobes.  Usually, there is one...but it depends on the mobo.  I've looked at the schematics of the board and it shows a header connector for USB connectors 1 & 2, and also the HDD LED, Reset and Power...but no Spkr/Mic.  It does show an onboard speaker, but that isn't helping us.

If it's not on the mobo...then you can't do it.
