Title: start menu/icons blinking on and off

 >:(im having major issues. for the past 2 days, my start menu along with my icons are blinking on and off every ten seconds. when they blink back on i cant type for a couple seconds. im pretty sure i have a virus or two, but im not sure how to get rid of them, considering i cant seem to get to avg and do a scan or whatever. can someone help me figure this out..im half tempted to throw this computer out the window (not that i will, but i feel like it!)

Try a System Restore (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000589.htm) to a few days before the problem.

Otherwise, visit the Computer Virus and Spyware section.
