Title: My Computer wont get past log in screen

Before, my computer doesn't even enter the login screen.  Now after I deleted a few things from a virus scan, after I login it says finding preferences in that blue box then logging off.  It doesn't even let me into my desktop.  So basically I have no way of accessing my computer and even safe mode doesn't work.  Is there a way to recover my computer and make it work again?

Do you have the Windows CD?

I suggest you preform a Repair Install.
