Sometimes, when I turn on my computer, I never get to the BIOS screen. The lights all turn on, and I can hear the components working, but nothing shows up on screen.
I have to hold down the power button to turn it off, then turn it back on again. This brings up the "Windows failed to start" message, which advises that I run startup repair. I've run that several times and it has not found anything.
In the event viewer, all it says is "Kernel-Power" related error.

I've read a little on support sites, and it said that a hot hard drive can cause things to not boot, but my hard drive never really gets that hot. What could be the problem?

Hi,
I would like to know if you are using Laptop or Desktop. And I also would like to know the manufacturer of your machine. Because BIOS settings change from manufacturer to manufacturer.
