I have XP Professional and I had MSN on it. When I was working in another program such as excel MSN kept popping up every minute. It drove me crazy so I just uninstalled MSN. However, when I did that now the Internet options box keeps popping up every minute how do I disable this?

When you say Popping Up, what do you mean?
Any messages?
This may be the case of a malware infection. I would have a look here:

Post the logs and one of our Malware Specialists will give you a clean bill of health.

I mean it keeps wanting to connect to the internet. The main page( where you would sign in) will pop up and I close it. However a minute later it pops up again but I am not connected to the internet.

If you go down to the icon in the task bar, right-click it, and click quit, does it keep coming back?
