Title: Printer error message document and printer settings don't match
Post by: pepper on February 22, 2011, 09:07:19 AM
I hope this is the right forum to post this.  If not I apologize.  I searched everywhere to get an answer to this but found nothing.  I can print from word pad and note pad but I want to print a document from Microsoft Works and I get several message....document and printer settings don't match, out of memory save or close open files and something else I can't remember.  I have Windows XP home edition and the printer is hp C3180.  If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

When you try to print from Works is it using the default printer ? ?
It may be looking at an older device that was not uninstalled correctly...
Check Control Panel/Printers...

Hi Patio,

I have the C3180 as my default printer and when I open the document and click on print it shows the printer as C3180.
