I started my computer this morning and the majority of my dialog boxes appear red and blurry and I can't read any of the text. It is the first time this has happened and it also does the same thing when I started a game too.
If anyone knows anything about this it would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Check your theme (right click on desktop and select properties).
Put it on Windows XP (you will have to change stuff again, but this might fix your problem), and hit apply. Check that it's fixed it. If not, post here that it didn't work.

Nah no luck, unfortunately.

Ok...
You might want to follow the instructions found here (http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html) and post it here (http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/board,7.0.html) because you might be infected with something...
-
Cheers for that. I will do the virus search and post.
Kind Regards

Make sure to post in the section I posted, so you can get the proper attention.

Did you restart since?
Did you try system restore?
-
I am still running through the virus and spyware instructions as per the Computer Hope guide. After Superantispyware has finished scanning I will try a restart.
About the system restore I have no idea how to do one.
-
Run those scans, and they come up clean, post back here.
-
Yeh didn't really turn up too much, just a few little bits and pieces but nothing too alarming
I tried a few restarts but to no avail.

Can you post the logs from the scans so that a malware specialist (Broni - Cause he's the man) can have a look at them

I think some appearance setting has been changed.
I'm not with XP right now, so I'll check later.
-
I posted the scans if you could have a look at them Broni.
Cheers

Not too the best of my knowledge. I had installed stuff for MSN but that was approx 18 months ago.

Apparently, there is some infection, so you have to cure it first.
Evilfantasy will take care of you there.
