Title: No Office in WIndowss 8. Free Office Suite?

Just got a HP laptop with Windows 8. Nice About $300 at local wally Mart.

Did you notice.? No Office trail in Windows 8.
So then, what about the free office programs?
Do they  the work OK in Windows 8?
I want to try one named  "Libre Office" which I know works in Windows 7.

What do you think? 
What alternative Office Suite works for you in Windows 8?

Libre' Office works fine in Win8...

MS is moving Office to a subscription app...pay as you go so to speak.

Hmm, I bought an HP laptop on 3/4/13.  It had a trial version of Office; actually, a 2010 version.  But, I had Office 2007 and installed it.

The annual subscription version of Office is called Office 365.  However, MS Office is still sold under more traditional licensing.  All the MS Office 2013 software options are available on newegg.com @ http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100006800%20600030326&IsNodeId=1&name=Office%20Suite
