Hi,
I recently got a used/fairly new hard drive. The internet for my previous computer/hardrive was already set up using my modem and router. When I connect to the internet using this new hardrive, I see it's already connected to the internet using a default network. I set it to home and turned off network sharing activity. However I do not see any wireless wifi connections that I own, nor do I see the orginal wifi network I had before this new hard drive. Is it safe then to use this default network that connects to the internet, is it password protected or is it a network that anyone can connect to? Thanks in advance.

Confused here...does it have an OS installed on it ? ?...if so im suprised it runs bein swapped from another PC...
At any rate if Yes you need to go to Control Panel/Network,,,delete the existing network config then setup your connection fresh...

I see. yes the OS is installed windows 7. Do you still recommend I delete the network? And if so, what info do I need to provide to create a new network? e.g. from router, etc. or do I need some sort of user/password I can get from my ISP? or any other info?

Oh I reread and you said if yes. In that case, if I need any additional info to establish and create a new network can my ISP give me that?
-
Yes.
