Title: Excel 2002 worksheet
Post by: ronricoviper on August 27, 2008, 05:42:31 AM
Hello guys, this is my first post here.
I have a work laptop that is on a domain. When I try to open any colored document in Excel 2002, I am not able to see any color in cells at all. Others can see them but not on my laptop. I tried the Detect and Repair option but it did not work. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks in advance and glad to be here.

Welcome to ComputerHope.

What happens if you save a file in Excel 2000 with colored cells and open it?

I can see the text but all the cells that are supposed to be colored are white.

Sorry, I meant what if you make a new file in Excel 2002, save it, and reopen it.
Still same problem?

In the mean time, I will have a look to see what Google has to say...

Can you change the color of cells in Excel workbooks on your laptop?  Can you save a workbook on your laptop that was showing colored cells when you saved it, and then see the same colors when you open it?

What version of Excel do you have installed on your laptop?  Was the file you're referring to created on another computer?  If so, what version of Excel was used to create that file?

Yes I can change to color of cells in the workbooks on my laptop. Yes I can save a workbook that was showing colored cells and see them upon re-opening. I am using Excel 2002 with Xp sp2..
The file and other files were created on the same type of laptop since this is a corporation.

I have not tried the Reset workbook and worksheet settings yet but getting there slowly but surely.

The other are using the same version of Excel as I am. Also the Reset workbook and worksheet settings  did not work for for me. I really appreciate your helping me, thanks. I am still trying to figure it out on my end as well.
