Title: I need help with an I - Mac
Post by: mtnbkr01201 on February 06, 2007, 11:38:04 AM
Hi everyone
I'm new to this forum, my name is William, I am in Western Mass, and I have a friend in Pa,[edit][/edit] that needs help with her mac, when she tries to play a VCD, or DVD, she gets all kinds of folders that come up, I am not familaur with Mac's - as I use a DELL (very easy to use), how can she easly use her media plater without a lot of hassle, or having to look through all those files.
This is all the info I have on her computer - I-Mac, power PC G4, System 1.3.9, 2003.
Thank you kindly for any help you can offer.

William

Please forgive my spelling.

Chances are, the problem is caused by the false sense that the Apple company creates about being able to view media. Many Macs with their pre-installed software are -not- able to view media.
(Though, MacOS X should be somewhat capible)

Please verify that this is a DVD drive (for DVD's)
Check for other software that refers to a sort of media player.

You may want to check out VLC Media Player for Mac
