It is necesssary to remove dust from your computer occasionally (http://www.techtree.com/techtree/jsp/article.jsp?article_id=56391&cat_id=560)

Yes ......
dl65 ::)
-
And your point is.....you have done it and had a good experience maybe?
-
I removed dust from my CPU only and it did a major preformance boost. Its good to use a dry q tip to wipe out the dust once a year.
-
I have an electric leaf blower, the box says it does 200Kph on the high setting. :)

Hi
I started my computer and found a heavy sound coming from the SMPS.
I saw there lot of dust.
I remove that dust as much as I could.
Then the sound stops.
The sound comes from friction with blades of the fan with dust.
Now I am happy. :):):):)

Sometimes canned air will help, BUT you have to prevent the fan blades from turning while using it to prevent damage. I don't know about the leaf blower, but I imagine the same.

Really? I'll have to remember that. I've always just let the blades spin, assuming that was an aid in removing the junk.
-
Too forceful and can damage fan blades or bearings. Looks cool, though! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
-
My fan is always on, but with my Motherboard I can throtle the fan speed. Right now I ncreased the fan speed by 50% which makes a whistling sound but at leat my computer is cool ;D

I have a cool computer, it's shiny. :)
We should compare CPUs & Temps.
Fed>P4 2.4>33C

My GX1 doesn't even have a fan on the CPU. 6+ years and still going strong! :o :o :o :o
-
The biggest cause is the psu......witch act like a hover......sucking the dust into the case........reversing the polarity of it........so the fan on the psu spins........outwards........>All electrical componants attract dust?
-
I've never seen a psu fan that blows air into the case.
-
Mine does ;D
-
So it sucks?
-
And mine blows, what's better? ROTFLMAO! :D
