I have an Acer Aspire 5741. I left it on and plugged in overnight. This morning, it was off and would not power up.
When I press the power button, the blue light on the power button itself does not come on. The orange power light at the front corner blinks 5 times.
I removed batter. Pressed power button for 45 seconds.
Tried 2 other AC adapters. Same results
The laptop case isn't in the best shape and the AC connector is a little loose. It's been working this way for a while.
Any idea? Thanks in advance

Did you--
Remove battery?
Unplug AC brick from both ends?
Wait 2 minutes before plugging AC brink back in?
In some cases the battery can stop a laptop from starting.
One of the lesser known resets is to unplug, remove the battery and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Release and apply power (forget the battery for a moment.)
...
This worked! Removed the battery, unplugged the laptop and waited about a minute. The laptop powered up normally without re-installing the battery.
