Title: ESystem laptop
Post by: wol on November 24, 2006, 02:56:26 PM: I have recently bought a (new) ESystem laptop from PCWorld. It's fine as a modest budget piece of kit but everytime I switch on I get a Russian boot screen splash for a couple of seconds before the Win XP boot routine display. Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of the Russian splash?

Your computer is using a Russian-made motherboard, or a motherboard with a BIOS with multi-language capability. See if you can press the key indicated in the Russian text to enter the BIOS setup and change the language to English.

That brand cannot be located with Google. Bad sign #2.

PC World sells something from EI Systems, but again it is an unknown company.

I would hope your operating system is authentic. Try using Microsoft update as soon as possible. Contact Microsoft pronto if ANY problems.
