my computer was recently out for awhile until i checked all the wires and it looks like the cd drive was not connected...
i put in the windows xp cd and once it checks for a boot disk the screen goes blank...
the disk drive says its reading the cd but then it stops reading and the screen is still blank...
does anyone know wuts wrong?

You need tto post a LOT more details to get meaningful help. As CD drives don't just become disconnected, was there some sort of monkeying inside the case prior to the problem?
What else is involved in the history here? Why are you trying to reinsttall WIndows? Is that a real Windows CD, very shiny, that says Microsoft on it?

im trying to install windows again cuz it had a virus and trying to reinstall windows screwed up my computer... and it isnt a real windows cd
