Title: Which Mac should I buy?
Post by: mark.jovanovski on September 06, 2015, 06:07:08 AM
I am allways on the go and need something lightweight. I need it for handling everyday staff, sending and receiving emails, browsing the web, using office applications.
Could you please help me make a buying decision?  :-\

What sort of budget?

At the cheaper level you would probably end up looking at the MacBook Air but if you can afford it I'd recommend looking at the MacBook Pro as it's a bit more powerful (not super important for your usage) but also has a far better screen which makes a huge difference to the experience when using the machine.  Pretty much any current Apple laptop is very thin and light so you won't have a problem in that respect although I'd stick to 13" or 11" ones from the portability perspective.

Also, if you are a student, make sure you take advantage of Apple's student discounts as these are pretty hefty.

Why a Mac?  Virtually any laptop on the market will suffice for your requirements, even a Chromebook.

Both MacBook Pro and Air are good! However, If you will need it for web browsing, office works and photo editing then I would suggest a  MacBook Air ( Intel I7 running at 1.7 GHz). It would really depend if you want portability or power in selecting the best Mac.
