not to my knowledge..

as far as I know, it's an extended set of objectives relevant to the type of environment the Technician desires to work in......I'll be taking the 220-602
(90 questions)  This exam is geared for Techs. who wish to work in  large corporate environments, in a nut shell.

and uh, I don't plan on taking the second exam while under the influence :-X....when I said "brake" I meant a brake for a few days, then back to drilling for the second exam.  I'll take it in a couple of weeks, next pay day!

can cause friction and all that.
Title: Re: A+ Certification
Post by: hot dog on May 06, 2009, 03:18:48 PM
heh, I meant the other "brake" :-\

Originally I had it spelled "break", but I didn't feel like looking it up in the dictionary

let's see, maybe someone could literally brake for a few days if they were high up on a mountain, and the roads were somewhat icy ;D,

but that wouldn't cause too much friction, would it

it sucked.........had no choice but to persevere

word to the wise....don't eat too much before going in to take an exam!

I'm happy to report I sat today for the 220-601 and 220-602 exams and passed them both. So, now I'm a certified Comptia A+ IT Technician. I really believe my participation in this forum assisted me greatly, and thanks very much for allowing me to be a part of it. The knowledge available in this forum is like having a teacher beside you every time you log on.......so I know I'll continue to learn each day.

I know it's not an easy test!

(You didn't divine the answers by holding envelopes up to your head, did you?)

Sweet Karnac, I bet you feel quite a relief from reviewing and studying.   :)

I'm pretty sick of studying and reviewing myself, I'd like to get into some programming and other fun stuff, for a change.  I'm currently reviewing for the 602 exam, which I'll take in a couple of weeks when I get paid...If I pass then I'll be caught up with you

As a matter of fact, I'm about 2/3 of the way done with all of Professor Messer's Videos.. ;D  .A couple of more days to go and I'll be done with them.....Although, I didn't discover them until after I took the 601 exam.  I'm using them now to refine my knowledge.  AS for the 602 exam, I'll be using CERTBlaster, for practice exams.
I'm pretty confident that I'll make it through the 602 and I'm excited because I downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ and I'm aching to get to learning some programming and other stuff like writing batch files, hacking (my own system of course), gaming, all the fun stuff.  IT's time to have some fun with Computers for a change.   OFF the subject, I'm switching to firefox because IE8 is a pain!

I can't write batch files, either.  Did some UNIX shell scripting a long time ago.  Absolutely nothing wrong with admitting what you don't know, and it's getting more and more difficult to know everything about anything, anymore.

The A+ cert. will open some doors that even being the biggest autodidact won't budge.

(There's a word to give 'em something to think about...   ;))

I'm taking exam 602 this Monday...I feel pretty good about it...Only thing that sucks is that I have to drive 93 miles to take it :P

I purchased the Prometric exam and could not find any testing centers close to me with available appointments. I didn't have to drive that far for the first exam....oh well, no use complaining, I'm almost done......This will be it!

the PSU will explode! :)
Title: Re: A+ Certification

Actually you risk electrical shock.....the psu contains capacitors which retain voltage and can seriously injure.

Never open a psu or a crt monitor.......but you knew all that.  ;)
