Title: Help Replacing internal hard drive

Hi  i am replacing my hard drive the old one is a wd3000jd which has legacy power connector  the new one is a wd5000aaks the new one does not have any legacy power connectors  my computer only has the legacy power connector how do i connect thhe new one do i need to buy something to connect tothe legacy connector on the computer then into the hard drive  :-* ::)

I believe what your reffering to is IDE connector as opposed to the newer SATA connector...
If this is in fact the case they sell adapters...

Is the original drive ATA and the new drive SATA?  If so, then you need more than an adapter for the power.

hi thx for you replies both hard drives are sata so will et out and buy adapter thx again for your help

If they're both SATA no need for an adapter...try another data cable and/or another SATA MBoard slot...
